Should I put black in the bathroom?

There are some really amazing trends happening in design right now.  I find that more and more with the amount of image sharing there is in the design community you can find inspiration just about everywhere for ideas you might be thinking about trying.  One of my favorite trends that has been done successfully as of late is adding black in bathrooms.  There are some really great ways to incorporate this statement maker into these smaller spaces, whether you want to try out black with paint, tile, cabinetry or something smaller with mirror frames, it seems to be working really well.

We have black chests converted with sinks/marble and an antique black vitrine to hold towels. Black and white tile in one of the rooms as well. I love the look.
Every room needs a bit of black.

I like some of the black accents, but not unrelieved and solid -- that ceiling, for example. Too much black has a heavy feel.

I agree with Emm.Full black seems overwhelming.I think its best to pair it with white linear designs.- Patrick Tan
